As a thunk runs, its AI agents do most of the work on their own. But some steps still need a person — to answer a question, make a decision, or review and finish the work. When a step is assigned to you and reaches that point, it waits for you.
Waiting on me is your personal queue of that work. Instead of scanning every work item to find the ones that need you, open this view to see only the items where something is waiting on your action.
Open the "Waiting on me" view
In the left navigation, under Run, select Waiting on me.
This opens the Work Items list, already filtered to the items that are:
assigned to you, and
waiting on a person — a step has paused and needs someone to act before it can continue.
Anything that an AI agent is still handling, or that is assigned to someone else, is left out. What remains is the short list of work that will not move forward until you do something.
Why a work item shows up here
A step assigned to you reaches this state when its AI agent hands control back to a person. That happens when the agent:
asks you a question it needs answered before it can continue,
pauses for a person because its instructions say not to finish yet, or
finishes its part of a step that a human must review and complete.

Act on an item
Select a work item to open it and go to the waiting step. From the step you can:
Read the agent's Question or its concluding summary to see what it needs.
Reply in the step chat to answer a question or give direction. The agent picks up your reply and continues.
Use Finish step when the work is done and the step is only waiting for a person to complete the handoff.
Once you respond or finish the step, the work item is no longer waiting on you, and it drops off the Waiting on me list the next time the view refreshes.
Who sees what
The view is scoped to you: it shows only the work assigned to your account. A teammate opening Waiting on me on the same thunk sees their own queue, not yours. Assignments follow the Human Agent role described in Users and Access Controls.
If a thunk has no work items yet — for example a document-only thunk — the Waiting on me item does not appear.
