Every user has an independent account with the Thunk.AI service. A user must have an account in the system to create thunks or to participate in thunks.
Create an account at https://www.thunk.ai or at https://app.thunk.ai. If you are part of a private enterprise deployment of Thunk.AI, you may have a custom sign-in page instead. Thunk.AI does not give users their own username/password signin. Instead, on the sign-in page, you will see options to sign in with single-sign-on (SSO OAuth 2.0/OIDC-based authentication) identity providers.
Choosing an identity provider
In the public instance, the two SSO providers supported are Google and Microsoft. While personal account sign-in will work (eg: with an @gmail.com account), we advise that you sign in with your work account to make it easier to automate work processes.
Your work email (eg: [email protected]) is typically provided by Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. If you use Google Workspace (docs, sheets, etc) at work, use the "Sign in with Google" option. If you use the Microsoft office suite at work, use the "Sign in with Microsoft" option.
During sign-on with Google, grant Thunk.AI limited access to your drive / file system. This access allows your AI to read and index files to synthesize relevant information for your projects and generate new files or images as needed. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
If you are accessing a private enterprise instance of Thunk.AI, your SSO sign-in will integrate with the identity provider used within your company.
What if sign-in fails?
If your company's Google/Microsoft admin allows SSO authentication by third-party applications like Thunk.AI, then Thunk.AI sign-in will work seamlessly. In some organizations, SSO is blocked for security reasons. In this case, you might see an error as shown below. You will need to ask your Google/Microsoft admin to enable SSO for Thunk.AI.

Immediately after you sign in
You will be asked to answer a few onboarding questions where you tell us a bit about yourself. Your AI agent will work better if it knows who you are, your role, and your company. This information helps it tailor its actions to your needs and behave "intelligently". It is not sold or used for ads, just to personalize your experience on the platform.
We also recommend that you go to your account page , use the Connections tab to find the Google/Microsoft connection used to sign in, and extend the permissions to allow your AI agents more permissions to access your cloud file system (read all files, or read/write all files). Many useful scenarios need the ability to read cloud files provided as links, and/or write to them. This is not absolutely essential for use of the platform, but since a lot of business work is associated with files, most users find that this extra permission adds significant value.
Deleting your account
At any time, if you wish to delete your account and all related data, please contact [email protected] and one of our team members will take the necessary actions and confirm account deletion.
